@redthumb11 Then he never actually listened to springsteen, he can be called many things but shallow in his lyrical content is ludicrous, around this time was born in the usa album one of his more lyrically solid albums with some of the most astute observations of american life and politics. I never minded prefab sprout and in some respects im not sure if its a total dig "the world needs it dreamers, may they never wake up" could be construed as a compliment

@MsFuturestar1 Yeah ,sad to say but it seems to be the case that Prefab Sprout rarely get a mention these days.They were certainly much more than the usual Pop band .Their music was witty,melodic,embracing,engros
sing and intelligent and really quite unique . -

my mam used to serve beers to both paddy and micky in the white tun in witton gilbert their home village in Durham. She told me they used to tear up the beer mats and write their songs on them and she used to tell them off for it. They used to say "you won't twist at us when we are famous"....
