I do not speak Russian, but even in the English translation, these words by the Russian national poet Pushkin are very moving for me ... here is another song by my friend Anna Buntovnikova, accompanied by Dido Durmanovic on guitar, in Anna's show Magic Russian Songs, recorded at the Folk Centre in Adelaide on Friday 27th August 2010, ...just 8 days ago.
Anna presents this traditional piece with passion and beauty.
Thanks, Anna and Dido.

Thank you Brett,
What I love about English, that when you say "I love you" it doesn't matter are you woman or man - you say it the same way. In original Russian version it's a man's poem.
Unfortunately this music is not mine. It was written more than 100 years ago, by B.Sheremetiev. I just love to sing it.
