  • Why is there a rotating Auton head?

  • It is a joke.

  • Tim has been my beacon of spirituality ever since I first unwrapped Goodbye and Hello back in the late 60's. He has never let me down in my struggle to find my way and his light shines as bright for me today as it did the day I first met him. So much from someone in so little time. Tim left me with wealth beyond what any amount of money can buy. So sadly missed but so lucky for what he gave to me. Once, I was too.

  • mee too.

  • @NovaScotiaChick Damn true... It's been shot using a cheap phone (or a regular 2007 phone, which is about the same thing). A simple photo camera would have got better output...

  • The best cover and tribute was done in 1983 by This Mortal Coil although I also like Brian Ferry's rendition in 2010.

  • ....but i do think this is the original and best version of this song. I like the funky room it is playing in.

  • This is a beautiful song, but the quality of the clip is not. It does not do Tim's haunting brilliance justice. There are much better versions.

  • @kiwiclogger, Plant still does not beat the prototype. I am speechless at how beautiful it is.

  • Starsailor is a great album, very different from the rest of the Tim's production, but so innovative and so pure.

Great song from one of the best singers in the musical history

  • To cover a song like this, you have to be very self-assured. John Frusciante did an amazing job of this. Oh, I see there were already many people who said that. But just check it out.

  • you ever heard Thomas Dybdahl's version of Song to the Siren? That is beautiful!

  • I had the same revelation

  • only one singer matches the sensitivity of the original, in his inimitable and unique way -Robert Plant. I think it would be impossible to surpass Buckley's version, but Plant easily equals it, and offers us a heart piercing interpretation that ratchets up the emotional essence of the song several clicks.
