I heard this tune for the first time the other day...in Wes Anderson's new film...the darjeeling limited...Never heard of Peter Sarstedt before....This tune apparently was a big hit in the Uk around 1969...anyways forgive my Accordion skills or lack there of...but I really loved the accordion in the original and I happen to own one so...enough talkin..take it easy folks.

  • Impressed indeed!!! Solo renditions like this where you cover all the instruments yourself is quite a feat in itself. Great job Man. Was that guitar mic pointed on the 12th fret?

  • actually i had it pointed more towards the soundhole...to give the guitar sound more bass....but I have a cheap multitrack that records on memory cards.....which i have not upgraded yet.....sooooo being that i had to add the egg shaker and accordion i didnt have enough memory to keep that track......which was the pencil mic. haha get what im sayin??? So yeah it was my vocal mic pickin up the guitar....really hurt the quality in my opinion but oh well...its all in fun.

  • That was cool !...I like being inspired to do a tune after hearing it in a movie too...great accordian too..Excellence !*****

  • Congratulations for playing so well this beautiful song!

Elvio Alberto walter. sapucaia do Sul, Brasil

  • actual song has a Dm not a F, but I liked it any how.

  • Real facts and genuine questions about this real and most enchanting woman, not just a string of interesting and pretty descriptive lyrics, so much of it is driven by the guys need to unravel the enigma of this enigmatic but real woman, without that it's just a pretty poem not a great ballad, I think you've captured it really well though

  • Cool cover, would note though that the tone of the original is a little different though, they aren't really sung just as pretty lyrics it's a proper ballad, you should state them as

  • i love this song! great cover.
