You should do it with your back straight and not bending forward. :)

Just found out today that I can do a full pistol squat!!! I'm a bit psyched about it really! I mean it's only been a whopping month that I've been working on them. Really I'm not an advanced athlete either (hardly an athlete), so it was quite surprising within such little time I was able to do them.

@esca8652 Great work! It doesn't take long to build the strength to do these you have succeeded where others have failed.. This will help
SYNAPTIC FACILITATION OR "GREASE THE GROOVE"
"Specificity + frequent practice = success"

(GTG) training is one of the best methods to develop great skill in strength exercises, it is very good for learning new exercises like pistols. Repetitive and reasonably intense stimulation will strengthen the nerve impulse sent to the muscles involved, making them stronger and more enduring. The technical term, is synaptic facilitation. Sounds very scientific put simply the next time when your fresh = new strength gains!

@esca8652 Great work!. Try ladders.. 1,2,3,4,5 do 1 each side, then 2 each leg etc. if you dont think you will make the next step, say 5.. Rest 2mins and start back at 1 per leg.. Go for 2-5 ladders..
