Black Dexter calf named Easter was born to Tara, a dun Dexter heifer, on 4-8-2007. Easter is already showing the spunk and curiosity common to Dexter cattle. Dexter cattle are the smallest breed of cattle in the world. They originated in Ireland and are ideal for small farms. they make very good dairy or beef cattle. They are also intelligent enough to train as draft animals, (oxen).

  • Very cute. I hope it isn't intended for food! Too cute to eat!

  • @MegaBluescat Our Dexter cattle are raised to be family milk cows. that lovely little heifer now lives in Georgia and is being appropriately spoiled by a nice family as well as helping them make some tasty cheese. The mama cow lives with a very nice family now as well. Tara's second calf, Erin, is on loan to a childrens farm in Virginia at Maymont Park..
