NOTE: Numbers 1-25 are unique, as are numbers 67, 68, 69, 76, 78, 79, 86, 87, 89, 96, 97, and 98. The number "rocks" towards the bigger number. If my video did not demonstrate this clearly enough, look online for more information. As for "double numbers" 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88, and 99, the palm orientation faces down when you sign them.

Description:
TODAY - SIGN - NUMBERS - 1 - 100
READY? HERE WE GO
ZERO
1 (notice the palm orientation)
2 - 23 O-R 23 (different sign) - 24 - 25 O-R 25 (different sign)
26 - 66
NOTICE - CHANGE
67 (bleh! - too much hand tilt!)
67 - 100
HOORAY! DONE!

  • Interesting but for someone who doesn't know sign language you should have said the numbers as you did them. can you use both hands to count higher?

  • @redice1024 I can't speak atm. Also, no, always use your one dominant hand to count. I'll post a video for numbers over 100 later.

  • Thank you so much, I was having trouble deciphering the pictures. I just started today =)

  • Oh geez.... I found the BSL counting easier... :(

  • Thank you for making this video, very helpful. I'll of course need to go through it a bit more to fully understand. :)

  • Well done, thanks, I learned a lot! I did need to "rewind" more than once and was glad You were "mouthing" the words even tho not saying, helped me to catch on. I know kinda boring for you, but maybe go just a little bit slower in future if your goal is to assist hearing people to learn ASL (we can be a bit dense ;) I lost what you were signing twice when transitioning from 59 to 60. But thanks, been trying to "get" numbers for a while & no one else did #s over 25 that I was able to follow.

  • very pretty

  • My ASL teacher is giving a pop quiz on numbers. Thanks. This helps. :)
