Still loving it this year! It's now one of my yuletide staples--I bought it. (Thanks for uploading it! Thanks to YouTube!) I agree totally with @Snoopy1234 (or whatever numbers--can't see it from this screen). The voice of the male soloist who leads off every verse is very affecting, sounds authentic, resonates with history and, for me, many mental associations. Then the group harmony!--Altogether, a lovely rendition.

This is one of the most beautiful songs ever made, it's like almost music to my ears. I would like this to be played at my funeral, oh wait JUST KIDDING THIS IS HORRIBLE :):)

Love it. And to you, your wassail, too!
It seems to me all these wassailing-at-the-door songs contain at least a hint of threat, and rare revelation of the true state of servant-to-master and peasant-to-lord feelings--like some Hallowe'en chants and songs.

I'd not heard this before,how did I miss it? I have put it in my favourites list and keep listening to it over and over again. Addictive. Thanks for it. It would make a great late night pub/club join in song.
