GRAVITY OF LOVE X-Files Music Video [Best Concept] ConnectiCon 2009

My first live-action fan vid, a tribute to my favorite television show, The X-Files. I wanted to focus on the romanticism of the series using the Biblical parallels of the show's conspiracy arc as a theme. This video won "Best Concept" at ConnectiCon 2009 - my first technical award! Thank you so much!

You know, I am such a fan of the words in this song, too. The love between Mulder and Scully and the love they have for finding the truth is grounding to them both. The gravity of this love brings them down to reality and affects their whole lives. Once they got involved, there was no getting out. And it's the same for the lone gunmen, Deep Throat, X, Skinner, Doggett, Reyes, Krycek, Marita, Jeffrey Spender, Diana, Kersh, and Brad Follmer- I loved 1:39-1:49. The gravity of it affects them all.

I wanted to make this video for a long time but struggled with the song choice; nothing seemed quite "epic" or emotional enough to encompass the tone of the entire show... until I came across Gravity of Love and had similar thoughts.

My Gosh! It's absolutely fantastic job! I was watching TXF long long time ago and I just couldn't realize all the drama and depths of the movie script. Now I'm re-watching episode by episode and falling in love with the show more more. Seems I'm getting crazy :) I've seen thousands of great TXF vids here, but yours...it makes me shivering, trembling and almost crying though I'm not a teen anymore :) Just excellent! Love it!! I saw this at ConnectiCon and it completely blew me away. This was engaging and moving without all the fancy templates and flash - you did this all with cuts/dissolves/timing of footage and that's real talent.

This FMV made me want to watch the show all over again, and I could see all the work and the heart you put into this. There's so much footage over all those seasons and you picked just the right pieces again and again. You totally deserved to win.

Tomorrow, my sister turns 22. She is the intelligent and beautiful woman I inspire to be. We're totally inseparable. She's everything to me. She's more than a sister. She's my best friend. The reason why I posted this on the X-Files video is because we LOVE this show. It's like bonding for us! I would really love lots of thumbs up so tomorrow on her birthday I can show her this comment under the theme song of our favorite show. Please thumbs this up, it's a cheap birthday gift! ;)

Goddamn I love The X-Files. Sculder is the best on screen pairing ever. I want them to redeem their true X-Files nature by making a third film. We're all disappointed in the second film and the fans deserve some closure...hopefully bringing William back. I feel like watching my series dvds again. <3
