  • great video (and song) for those of you who dont know how, i find it easiest to count in 4 for 3 measures and 3 for 1

    1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3 repeat

  • @Gibsonlover1234 Yep you´re also right, my best method it´s absolutly not count, and personally how i get more results on explaining to other people is to count whole numbers and felling the space between (any number of notes in there). your first example is easy to understand, i liked that one, but the second one i think you just will be more concerned about counting than playing and felling and after a few turns you will get confused. btw another easy way of think it's 3 times 5/8

  • @erikimba I would count 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1234567 or you can do it easier 1 & 2 & 1 & 2 & 1234123. It's many ways you can count! It's about which method that works best for you :)

    Well, the damn extra spaces in the bottom line didn't appear after posting the comment, so just forget about the bottom line. Hopefully you get what I mean without it. the bottom line's 1 to 8 should match up with the top line's, but then 9 to 15 are on the '+'s. 9 would match up with the top line's '+' of 1, 10 would match with '+' of 2, etc. Hope this makes sense, sorry the visual didn't work out.

    That's rather difficult as you'd be counting off-beats, and doesn't grasp the feel. I prefer counting it in 7.5

    1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 1...

    1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 1...

    The top line is how to count it, and the bottom line shows how it fits as 15. As you can see, counting as 8 and 7, or just 15, would be difficult because you'd no longer counting the downbeat after beat 8.
