I got to see the whole 1hr.40min. in class today, its an eye opening movie to watch...The sad part is we're going down this path and its our fault (the way the US decided to have a free-market economy, etc.) And the farmers in the film regarded growing corn as a business...they don't like that we are becoming a capitalistic country with industrialized agriculture, but they continue growing commodity corn. The ironic part is that farmers can no longer feed themselves with the crops they grow...
You want to know how much HFCS is really going into your food these days? I'll give you a way to get a small glimpse of the big picture. Go to an active set of train tracks where you can read what is in the tanker cars as they pass by. Be prepared to be amazed at the number of tanker cars full of HFCS that go by.
when corn syrup began... it forced a lot of sugar growers to go belly up. It's about control= greed... sad. Cocacola today does not taste the same when I was 8 years old. GATORADE IS FULL OF HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP... vitamin water - no corn syrup
Hope this does not ruin your day, but I have bad news for you. With all the bad press in recent years about High Fructose Corn Syrup, the food industry is once again trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Sadly, they are doing this (and have been for years) with products all of us health conscious people are quickly running to to get away from HFCS. The second ingredient in Vitamin Water is crystalline fructose, which is derived from corn just like high fructose corn syrup, and not much better.
im watching that playlist right now, im about 1/2way through.. its absolutely horrible.. very scary stuff. governments are so corrupt. poisoning us for profit
