  • Once the masses realize that cheap oil is the only reason we live so well and there is no replacement, things will get very interesting and desperate...

  • I doubt the world is going to do anything about the issue to begin with, even if they tryed to - I see no difference.

  • @mphello Im sorry but i cannot understand you. Whats a vegan? a well......

  • Kill every single person in the world who votes for Republicans, Democrats, who eats meat and reproduces themselves, and who thinks religious theocratic and nationalistic laws are more important than basic fairness of power and wealth.

If that requires full-scale nuclear war among the USA, China, North Korea, India, Africa, South America, Iran, then so be it.

  • @marlb0r015

I 100% agree and sympathize with you. As someone in his 40s (and obviously with no kids), I have advocated mandatory birth control since 1980 so people wouldn't be born into a world of hardship.

I have done MY part - being vegan since 1980 for animal rights even though no law required me to.

I say: cut your parents' balls and genitals off.

  • FINALLY - some nice classical-romantic music to open a documentary with.

  • @JacquelineFoatny You're an idiot

  • Conventional (easy-cheap) oil peaked around 2005 globally. People will have to adapt and get use to a much more energy frugal lifestyle as time passes now.

  • Peak oil, well... lets put it this way. Peak Oil adds another large factor to the Drake Equation, one that earth, coincidentally, does not likely meet.

  • @HansVerbeek

Are you Kidding me ? The world can hold way more then 100 million people. Before the industrial revolution (1700s) we were almost at 1 Billion people. Since the Industrial Revolution ( 300 years) we've gained 5 Billion people.

  • We have certainly past peak cheap oil. Im not sure about peak of world production, but it doesnt matter. No one will care how much oil has left in the ground when the price is 200$/barrel. Producers have no interest for producing oil below 75$/b, and prices over 90$/b would without any doubt cause another recession. Oil is now 106$/b. There are other factors which impact oil prices (war in Libya, QE 2, etc. ) but thats the reality we live in.

  • screw earth... I'm moving to mars!
