Exeter and St Mellion Cosmetic and Laser Clinic: Lumina Q is effective for both amateur and professional tattoos of all colors. The Q-switched Nd:YAG is most effective for black tattoos. This laser has the advantage of being useful for darker skinned individuals. At the frequency doubled setting (532 nm), the Q-switched Nd:YAG is highly effective for treating red and orange tattoos. • Does the laser cause scarring?

Although there is a risk of scarring with any laser, in most cases, scarring is not a significant risk for tattoo removal with the ruby laser. Tattoo removal has become associated with scarring because the first lasers used for tattoo removal were very aggressive and carried a high risk of scarring. The ruby laser does not heat the surrounding skin significantly and the risk of scarring is much reduced.

  • is the ruby laser better than the Q-Switched Alexandrite laser, and more safer?

  • Experience shows Ruby laser is more painful and also know to hyper/hypo pigmentation. Ruby is good for GREEN colour. Nd YAG 1064/532 is less painful and less side effects [blistering].

  • that looks horrible... I don't know if I wanna get it done!

  • So if i make my arm like 1:54 i get all the sexi wimmenz ?

  • what is that white stuff left after the laser?

  • dose that hurt?

    i looks like it

  • @MusicanoftheFuture yeah if you're getting inked with a dirty or used needle you can get infected. make sure everything is brand new and take care of it after while its healing, its easy as hell to avoid all that.

  • I've heard people pay stupid money to have a tattoo or tattoos removed. Also come to think of it some tattoos are expensive too! Never had one myself but know some people who have and some say you can sometimes get infections from them.

  • my opinion is if you have a tattoo removed you made the wrong decision to have it done in the first place. if you have a tatoo you should plan on keeping it and realize. Although there is also the "if thats the way you wanna play it" way to look at things. I don't think you can judge a person by a tatoo unless it is symbolic to them. IT not as though people are pressured into having a tatoo. If you're mates pressure you into having a tatoo then they are not really respectful mates
