Sharkey is one of my very first goldfish. She was about 4 inches then. When I first got her, she was a completely black & white Panda Oranda. But over time her color changed (must have something to do with the New Life Spectrum Sinking Pellets that she eats) and now she's got that lemony color instead. She's 10 inches long in this video.

I took her out of her 100 gallon tank yesterday coz she was looking stressed out and hiding in a corner. I placed her in this 300 gallon stock tank and voila! She just livened up. Seems to enjoy the new scenery and the new tank mates. The smaller goldfish in here are from the big fry drop I had last year. These are the ones that are hard to find homes for because they have deformities (bent tail, bent spine, belly sliders, curled gills, missing fins, etc). But as you can see, everybody's happy and thriving.

NOTE: I do not own the song "1000 Stars" by the Webb Sisters.

Hope you enjoy the vid :)

UPDATE/032211
Sadly, Sharkey passed away last week in the care of a petsitter I hired while I was in Florida :( She was healthy and happy when I left. She was dead at the bottom of the stock tank when I came home from the airport. Sharkey was 13 inches in length...I can't believe she's gone. We buried her in our yard. Have fun in fish heaven, Sharkey! Miss ya buddy...

  • RIP Sharkey

  • @Turtles504 Thanks for stopping by!

  • Can i put a oranda in a 500 gallon pond with some comets?

  • @5647pokemon You can. Just remember that comets are fast swimmers because of their long slender bodies. Orandas, however, have rounder egg-shape bodies which slows them down. This means they'll have a harder time competing for food.

  • I'm sorry for your loss. Sharky is so beautiful in this video and the giant tank lovely.

  • @AuroranLauriel Thanks :) She is one in a million.
