Actally, at a laser the wavelengh means the distance between each individual pulse of light, red lasers have a wavelengh of 600 nm because the distance between each light "shot" is of 600 nm.
Oh, and just to make it clear, if you take it this way, no laser can be true "constant wave" as you see on the label, but to the human eye, the laser seems uninterupted.

@BOOGIE4evah nanometers is the wavelength, in other words, the distance that the light beam travels 'up and down' on its path. theres a lot more to it and its difficult to explain
-
@BOOGIE4evah nm is nanometer, or 1x10^-9 of a meter. It is a unit of length.

curious if i really could use these in a bright clear-water lake while swimming, and it wont break?
-
@HiLuckyB It's not hard to explain. It's one-billionth of a meter.

@BOOGIE4evah nanometers, Google it, It's hard to explain.

@andretodopoderoso7 Don't know how long it would last, I like to keep my battery charged. But I would say 2 or 3 hours easily. I just play with it and charge the battery back up. And yes it comes with battery and charger.
