  • Its simple physics, a mono hull is not as fast as a catamaran. YES Fountains are fast mono hulls, and YES you are right that a cat wont run 160 with with 700sci's but they will run 130. Put a 700 in a v bottom and youll barely break the 100mph mark. Put 2 1500hp Sterlings (like MR Cat KIller there) in a Cat and itll be a 200mph boat. ie.. The Bacardi Skater, the Bud Light Mystic. C'mon dude, you sound like an intelligent person so trying to argue a v bottom is faster that a Cat is just silly!!!

  • Where was the "cat killer" at the Sarasota PR? After the pleasureboat Mercedes MTI ran away from it, not once but THREE times, they put it on the trailer and slunk out of town like the whipped dogs they were.

It's about time somebody put Reggie in his place, which will always be second to the cats.

  • I wood lyk 2 c them stop talkin crap n run against some 200+ mph cats.

  • lets see in in 6ft waves!!

  • Lets see it run against Miss Geico lol

  • 103mph with 525's 35'

  • i saw this boat in KW 2009, ihave to say less than impressed considering all the hype. cat killer? that was against poker run boat not full blown race boats. 3000HP could make a barge go fast!! come on, i would put an outerlimits against this with the same HP any day!

  • A TUNNEl creates lift which in turn makes the boat have LESS wetted surafe area. If a v bottom was as fast as a cat why dont they just get rid of the hydroplanes? C'mon kids.

  • @rotax454 This post confuses me? Are you asking a question or posting a statement? Are you saying cats on the water are not as fast as a v bottom? We can fisher Price this down for you if thats what your claiming. A v bottom has steps to aritate the water and to create less wetted suface area when underway. This makes a stepped V-bottom faster than a conventional V-bottom. The steps DO NOT make it faster than a catamaran on flat water. Why you ask? Cats have a TUNNEL.

  • @nandd100 Wrong!!!! cats will out run u in calm or rough!!!

  • @forestguymon You tell him...Vee's will never run as fast as a cats!!! i have a 46' Skater with twin 1300 sterlings in it ...and that did 181 MPH

  • monohulls take rougher water so if you want to argue ask reggie fountain. monohulls are faster smartstuff!
