I'm 14 and I've wanted to be a Nashville Dominican since I was 11 and still do. Please pray for me in my discernment and could anyone tell me the music? It's beautiful!

Clean and crisp habits, rulers ready for punishing the naughtiest of little girls: it's amazing to see tradition alive and well!!!

@georgiadrew George! you dont understand what these women go through. These women of the Church Feed the poor, take care of the sick. What does your church do? Nothing. They devote their lives to God but they also take care of these people that need it. You dont understand.

@nehagatari As a married person I have made vows of obedience to my spouse and as a Christian I am obligated to be obedient to God and the Catholic Church. Only I don't live in an institution that regiments my day to day life and takes care of all my practical/financial concerns so that I might spend the day in prayer. In relation to married life, that's pretty easy. They only give up much up if you consider owning your own property and having a "career" something to give up.

@BandofSorensons They give up a lot! You're not asked in the world (religious expression you shouldn't take literally) to give up marriage, you don't make vows of obedience and you don't lead a life without personal possessions..I understand your ideias they're correct in a world of dedicated and devoted christians. For me their only priveledge ( nuns)is living for God "full-time".We can sanctify ourselves in the world but that's difficult. You'r consecrated thru baptism but some people need more

All faithful Christian women are brides of Christ, regardless of whether or not they live in a monastic community or what style of clothing they choose to wear.
look how beautiful they look in their habits. Heretical nuns should watch and learn.
