IMO they both play above their HS rankings.. meant more towards Green however.. he was more of a quiet speedy RB since he was listed as a DB and only got offers Rutgers Cuse and Mich State.
Green may be an overachiever, but Royster is not IMO. He may not've been a 5*, but he was all-Metro in HS and had offers from the likes of NU, OU, VT, and UF. Offers like that don't go to slouches.
Regardless of who is the best RB in CFB PSU always puts out High Quality running game and they do it with High School kids who ARE NOT as you so eloquently put it "the best recruits" so what does that tell you? Everyone likes the overacheiver and regardless of NFL these kids (Royster, Green) overacheive...We will be very good this year! CFB rules...
But don't be surprised if it goes the other way and USC doesn't have as great of a year. I know they have proven in the last few years that they reload like no one else, but with Oregon, Oregon State, Cal, and Arizona State looking fairly decent, and there being a fair chance of being beaten at the horseshoe, this might end up being a disappointing season. Without almost a perfect season I don't think we'll be seeing that much anticipated Florida-USC matchup
Well I would say anybody who steps in as the starting QB will do a good job. The last 4 quarterbacks for SC were all 1st team all-conference, and with all 5 offensive linemen returning and home-run hitting receivers the pressure can be taken off the QB a little. I expect alot of run and screens this year for he Trojans. For the Gators, since there's no proven #1 WR Meyer will use 2-3 RBs on the field at once, meaning more speed. I pray for a USC vs. Florida matchup
Good point, but I wonder if he just wasn't an ideal fit for the USC system while at Florida, which thrives primarily on speedy backs, he was much better fitted. And even if you want to make the point of running back supremacy, you can't discount the fact that the quarterback position at USC is still unproven. It's easy to assume that they will reload with the great potential they have there, but at the moment I would say UF is the most proven backfield, with USC possibly the most skilled
Hey barry I like your videos, but don't be delusional. Regardless of how impressive the skill is in the backfield for Big Ten teams like PSU and OSU, until Tebow gets out of Florida and achieves his destiny as an underachieving running back in the NFL, Florida, with its 6-deep running back stable, kind of owns that crown. Sucks that Florida sits in the middle of the best recruiting state in the country doesn't it? I mean really, it's all location. If they weren't there, they wouldn't be so hot.
penn state was the best team usc faced all year they never stopped playing i would love to see them again they got alot of well. I mean some teams would of given up but they just kept fighting despite knowing usc had more talent

USC has more talent at RB this year and a better OLine. Remember Moody couldnt crack the starting lineup in 07 so he transferred to UF
