It's because of these effects that I can never think of Elijah Wood as a normal sized human being.

I'm not so sure, i haven't been a fan of Nolan since Memento, and i still think Begins was the best of his batman films, they've gone downhill since, bar a fantastic Ledger performance

@Unevaluated I saw it too. He may be smaller, but he still has the intimidating personality of someone who could mentally destroy the Batman while stomping the living s**t out of him.

I'm guessing Christopher Nolan will be using something similar in "The Dark Knight Rises" with making Bane seem larger, since the on-set production photos show Batman is clearly taller than Tom Hardy in costume.
