Wild, Wild World of Animals was a wildlife show produced for television in the 1970's. William Conrad's narration combined with the footage was utterly compelling to me and I watched religiously. Gerhard Trede and Beatrice Witkin created the music heard here, and in the bachelor-pad-sounding theme heard over the end credits (different but just as good). All elements combined put this series at a level never equalled within the genre imo. See my other videos for the original end theme, I believe both beginning and ending theme music was eventually changed.

  • I've never forgotten this song. Even though I couldn't remember exactly how it went that horn and the strange background piece are so unique. Wow, this brings back memories. Thanks for posting. This is good.

Someone posted they thought it was 1983-84 this was on. I thought it was in the 70's??

  • Happy to share. It definitely premiered in the 70's and was shown regularly then but also turned up much later.

  • I never missed this show as a kid. It was on 7-8 pm on PBS (channel 2) when I was a kid living in Massachusetts. Oh, the memories.

  • Does anyone remember a show, maybe on CBS, about Africa that had like a wooden xylophone song at the beginning? I think it was on Sunday evenings?

  • Every theme and logo bumper in the 70s was played on a Moog. LOVE IT.
