TWM Metrobus 2865

Recorded on Friday 7th November 2008, 2865 has been making this loud diff noise for at least 2 years (I have audio recordings dating back that far!) and it is getting worse. Unlike some others where the sound goes worse when the driver lets off the accelleration, on this bus it is actually worse when accellerating and the sound goes away when the driver lets off the accelleration. It makes for an interesting (if slightly ear splitting) ride.

Incidentally I have a few audio only recordings of other buses making loud diff noises, the worst ones being a fellow twm metrobus 3008 (now withdrawn) which was really and truly ear splitting in late 2005 which I have a superb recording from a peak 951 of ; and a Manchester NC bodied metrobus, again, deafening, on a Pennine Oldham-Halifax working in mid 2005. (Miraculously that bus was repaired and then withdrawn a fortnight after).

There are surely no better sounding buses than Metrobuses, especially when they're feeling ill!

Sounds like TomMetrobus when he filmed 3088 very loud probebly when the bus Is wet.
