Een verhaal over twee sociaal onbekwame tieners die op het punt staan hun middelbare school diploma te halen. De jongens zijn onafscheidelijk -- maar nu gaan ze naar verschillende universiteiten en zijn ze gedwongen om zich aan te passen aan een leven zonder elkaar.

Evan (Michael Cera) is lief, slim, en en een beetje bangig. Seth (Jonah Hill) is goedgebekt, wispelturig en heeft maar één interesse: seks.

Dit is het verhaal over hun misplaatste pogingen om hun levenslange tekort aan vrouwen terug te draaien in één panische nacht. Die vreselijke, vernederende nacht die je voor de rest van je leven koestert.
