Thanks a lot, I guess I will do that because I don't want to accidentally murder the poor parrotlet. I already found a breeder who is experienced and will handfeed it for me. There is only one sad thing now. I will have to wait for another 2 and half weeks to see my new friend. =]

Wow i just got mine yesterday and i had forgot to ask the guy how old she was!! but she looks the same size as those u got there! i wonder:? if shes the same age! I guess im going to have to go to the flea market and ask the guy! hopefully he remembers:)

cute babies! My babies took about 7 weeks to wean... But they still did the begging noise when I came around so I'd give them a drop of food. I think it was more for comfort than anything. Did you do anything to wean them so fast?

i didn't do anythng to "force" them to wean so early. They just didn't want baby food after 5 weeks of age. They ate on their own at that time.

Omg So cute!!! I'm getting a 3 week old baby parrotlet very very soon, but can anyone brief me on how to feed it because I heard that when they are still 3 weeks old u still have to hand feed them with special food and vitamins and all that, can anyone brief me or make a vid or give me a link to a video so I can watch and learn?

it would be best if you left the baby with the breeder till it was weaned. hand feeding baby parrots is something that can be very dangerous if you do not do it correctly.
