EcoStyler Styling Gel Review (Original)

Hi Everyone,

I'd seen and heard so many good reviews on this product I wanted to give it a try. A sista's stash of Smooth 'n Shine CAG is getting low. So I wanted to find another product to use as a styling agent.

I did not like this gel for all over styling. However I will use it for holding down my edges or mix it with a twist and lock gel for a better hold (maybe). But outside of that I will not use it for anything else unless I find a better way of using the product.

You may want to try it. I do use it just not often or as a wash n go styling agent like most tubers do. I use it for ponytails (once), quick weaves (once) and my twist mixes. But if use alone daily I find it's not good for the hair (drying). Hope this helps.

Yes, I use the Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine Leave-In. I still use the gel but only for mixes and my edges when wearing a afro puff or phonytail.

i have the white one(crystal) and the pink one(curl&wave) i find that if you mix it together not seperately but together with conditioners it works better

True..get a small jar...local BSS and CVS (that I've seen it in so far), before you purchase a larger jar.

I have. A friendgirl of mine Caramelbrown23 let me try her's. I did not apply it all over just the back section... ear to ear and I like the product but not the price. So I use the Ecostyler Olive Oil Styling Gel (check out kimmaytube KCCC vs ESOOSG) and I really like it. I apply a leave in, coconut oil, then the styling gel the next morning I use Elasta QP Mango Butter to take the crunch away. Hope this helps.

Totally agree. I tried this gel and my hair was very dry and my scalp was very itchy ( I have sensitive scalp one of the reasons I decided to go natural). BTW your hair is beautiful. Thanks for Sharing.

I'm a new subbie....love this hair style on you....I'm going to try the QP gel....but Eco's is horrible.....breakage like no other....need advice on how to keep a twist out longer....by day 3 its a big POOF
