Sa and Charlotte do break-up and leave, but because they're both hunters they are still in contact. They do still love one another. But they're denying it. So, when Sam calls Char and she doesn't call back. he assumes the worst. When in reality, she was foudn by other hunters and is under their care. Well, Sam (on his way back to her), get caught by the YED. Charlotte has a vision of Sam dying, as soon as it happens. So, she's already too late. But in her head, she can still save him. So, she makes her way to the brothers and Sam's already dead. AND BASICALLY. All she can think about was that she never got to tell him how she really felt.
