Fancy Nancy/Fancy Nick Tea Party @ SPL

Former French teacher Shari Walsh gives a brief lesson on some "fancy" French words to the children — and parents — at the Sterling Public Library tea party Thursday, Feb. 11. The party was themed around the "Fancy Nancy" children's book series by Jane O'Connor. Approximately 33 children and 16 adults attended, decked out in fancy clothes. The event also included story time featuring two "Fancy Nancy" books, a scavenger hunt using the book covers and fancy refreshments that included punch, cupcakes, heart-shaped marshmallows and candy.
