From the 2010 Los Angeles Times Book Festival a panel discussion on civil rights and race relations in the United States featuring, Miriam Pawel, The Union of Their Dreams: Power, Hope, and Struggle in Cesar Chavezs Farm Worker Movement, Martha Sandweiss, Passing Strange: A Gilded Age Tale of Love and Deception Across the Color Line, and Amy Louise Wood, Lynching and Spectacle: Witnessing Racial Violence in America, 1890-1940. The panel is moderated by Murray Fromson, professor emeritus at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, and takes place at Haines Hall on the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles.
