Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall's Wedding at Canongate Kirk

Like her mother Princess Royal Anne, Zara Phillips got married in Canongate. She married to her long time boyfriend Mike Tindall in Canongate Kirk, Edinburgh, Scotland. Before they were married they lived together in their own house in Gloucestershire. Princess Royal Anne decided not to invest her with a royal title in order to exempt her from the huge responsibility of being a member of the royal family.

The royal family has deep Scottish roots. For instance, Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon was Scottish. She married Prince Albert Frederick Arthur George, who later became King George VI. Their eldest child is HRH Queen Elizabeth II, the reigning monarch of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth Realms.
The Queen's husband and Royal Consort, HRH Prince Philip, is the current Duke of Edinburgh. He studied at Gordonstoun School, Scotland.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge studied at St. Andrews University, the oldest university in Scotland.
