The best player ever to suit up for U.S.A. He had it all. The teamsmanship, the determination, and the talent. He had "it." Donovan has the goal scoring record, but not many people would have considered Eric Wynalda (no disrespect) the greatest American player before Donovan broke his record. In my opinion, the Mt. Rushmore of American football has Brian McBride, Claudio Reyna, Thomas Dooley, Jon Harkes, and Casey Keller (and yes, I know that Mt. Rushmore has only FOUR presidents on it).

Bobby Convey is currently playing for Reading in the English Championship. They just got relegated from the Prem. League. John O'Brien unfortunately has retired from all soccer. In my opinion, McBride is the single greatest player in American soccer. Landon Donovan sure he's good highest goal scorer in american soccer.Claudio Reyna great player.McBRide was great because he sacrificed himself for the team. Flew at every ball. He would jump in front if someone pointed a gun at his friends.
