Trying out the superwinch

Ok so getting stuck wasn't exactly what I had in mind at the time. It did however make for some practice with the winch.

The ground anchor is my mk1 which was cut out of an old RSJ with some rebar for pegs.

The pins pull out by hand quite easily. I just hook a large karabiner onto the pins to hold onto, then twist and pull.

This anchor has performed well so far, but its not really big enough for a 4x4 of this size if it gets very stuck.

even though i own a jeep, i'll be the first to admit that range rovers are some pretty badass off road vehicles. just not the new ones that are out now, buncha mall crawlers.

hilift jack and a shackle is good for getting those type of pins out if they are *really* hard to pull.
