Here's finally my next composition! It's about a little bird which makes it first attemps to fly after it was nursed back to health by a child before (the child found it with a broken wing) :)

Btw: I wrote it first for piano solo but I found that it would also be sound great orchestrated so an orchestra version will follow some times later ;)

Oh and don't wonder: Because I've ever problems to play the same melody in different key signatures in real time I tried this time something new: I played all in the same key signature but used the transpose function to let it sound in other key signatures partly. So it was easier for me and I could concentrate completely on the composition.
Enjoy!

  • This is a great composition, it takes a lot of determination to finish original work, at least for me because I'm a perfectionist. I couldn't help but notice that the keyboard is transposed up a whole step, (you play a C and we hear a D), any particular reason for doing that? I know some key signatures are harder to play in.

  • @RedCaio

yep, it is transposed and yes, because it's easier for me to "develop" and "find" my compositions based on C than in other keys (I'm more save in the chords and their relations there). For sure I could relearn it on the other keys I want to use at the end afterwards but most times I'm just too lazy for doing it, lol...:)

  • Oh wow, this is so beautiful. I keep replaying it, unable to stop. It gives me this nice little feeling... Almost like I'm the little bird flying. This has become one of my favorite piano pieces. I love it. And if you by any chance want to share some sheet music or something... sometime in the future... I'd be so happy I could cry, I think. Even so, you're amazing, and this song is beautiful.

  • @TiramSmiles

yes, maybe I'll sell the sheet music of some of my compositions some times in future. But it will cost many weeks of hard work to transcribe it all with a notation software...but let's see...maybe one of my next projects ;)

  • @pianomusiclovr I would love you for that. If you use your time on a project like that, at least know that you have someone who's interested in buying! I'm very interested, that's for sure.

  • @FlyFingersFly

no problem, lol...yep, I transposed it. Most time if I've an idea for a melody I play it in C major first. Currently I still have problems to transpose only in my mind the same melody in real time. Respect to the composers who can do this :)

  • bravosimo! I could really feel the bird flapping its tiny little wings as I listened to your music. Thanks once again for yet another of your original compositions! More to come!
