this song sends the message to look beyond what the singer is saying and look for the "song beneath the song". maria continuously tells us over and over, its not a love song, but if you listen to the message of the song, if you look past what she is blatantly saying, then you learn that what she keeps telling us is not, really is. it is a love song.
