詞曲作者王文德, 是一位卡車司機, 當時打電話進到綠色和平電台, 唱出這首自己作詞作曲、充滿台灣情感的一首歌；後由蔡振男先生演唱而一炮而紅, 早期的地下電台或選舉期間, 此曲常在宣傳車上播放。

由冉天豪先生, 將此曲編為同聲三部, 以齊唱、合唱的方式, 表達內心的吶喊, 希望生活在這塊土地的我們, 能夠勇敢地說出母親的名叫[台灣]。

This song was composed by Wen-Der, Wong who is a truck driver. Once he called-in the Green Peace Radio Station and sang this song which composed by himself. This song became famouse because of Zhen-Nan, Tsai a Taiwanese singer sang this song. This song was played quite often in past dacate in illegal radio stations and during the period of election. Tien-How, Ren, a Taiwanese composer, arranged this song to be performed as unision and chorus. It reminds people who live in this island to speak out bravely - TAIWAN the name of mother. Many Taiwanese people are always confused and misunderstood about their nationality - China or Taiwan ? Let me tell you the truth that the ancestors of most Taiwanese came from Mainland China. But New Taiwanese came from Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines and many countries not only China. Besides there are many aboriginals that have lived in Taiwan for a long tome. It is not fair to tell the world that we are only the descendants from China. So we are definitely new Taiwanese from Taiwan.
