Army helicopters in Zabul Province, Afghanistan, are flying the skies making sure vital highways stay safe by observing and engaging any Taliban that may be planting IEDs or trying to restrict movement of locals and security forces. Take a ride in the front seat of a US Army Kiowa helicopter at Forward Operating Base Wolverine.

  • Seems like every military helicopter I've seen flies with two people in the cockpit. Do Kiowa's fly with just one person?

    The kiowa can fire 2.75 inch rockets or a .50.
