INGREDIENTS:
This recipe makes 4 Roti's:
1/2 Cup Whole wheat flour
Pinch of Salt
1/4 Cup and 1 tablespoon of luke warm water
1/4 teaspoon of Oil
1 teaspoon of Ghee or clear butter

  • dear Manju, I do my rothi again and again (I use atta from local indian store) but they come out crispy which I don't like! What is the secret? Thanks!

  • @Liduniya Knead the dough well until it is soft and smooth, it makes it easier adding halk a spoon of oil in the dough. If skillet is not hot enough roti will be crisp.

  • Is yeast used in Indian breads? In any Indian cooking?

  • @DigitalPraise7 Yeast is used for making Naan.

  • @siferuk actually aunty made a mistake in saying...it is not 1/2 cup of water in it but actually it is 1/4...!!

  • I forgot to buy bread yesterday. In Croatia it is non-working day today, so I looked for quick roti recipe. Thank you! This is great! Don't think I will buy bread anymore as now I know how to make Indian breads from your videos. I miss Indian cuisine and people very much. You are the best :))))
