Wrong, It's common sense man. As Overpopulation increases, Poverty and Corruption increases as well... It's common sense... If you were educated you would realize this
@SamuelJoaodaSuica Indias population is increasing but safe to say that poverty is decreasing yes ,things were even worse years ago now things have changed and you can see the difference yes but still there is poverty, India has only improved, never gone back and poverty will decrease
the child at 3:19 is african, not indian.. and what you're showing in the second part is not the real india, india does not only consist of slums and poverty.. India has both rich and poor parts and areas.. and btw, poverty exists everywhere not only in india, so why are people like you only critizising one country out of 200? Just take a look at southern europe and the US.. they're fucked! India is going to overcome its problems, which have already decreased in the last couple of years!
Basically, As India's population grows and surpasses that of China's, Rich Indians will get richer, and poor Indians will become poorer... The Job market will tighten far more and make life harder for many people, especially the uneducated and the poor.
Poverty is still at 30% and Illiteracy is at 25%... Now as the population grows even more, helping these people will become more and more difficult
As the population grows, Corruption and social immobility will Increase
It is good to hope. I think it is great that you have so much faith in India, however you must be realistic!!! Unless there are some rapid and radical changes India will get worse!
Think about it. While India's economic boom of 8 to 9% per year is giving India a good name, you must also understand that the economic boom has mostly only helped the top 10% of the Indian population... Corruption and Overpopulation is ALSO on the rise by 8 to 9% and it will affect over 50% of Indians!!!
i have for a longtime argued that the only way to bring about social change in the world is thru financial equality or socialism..........but unfortunately it is not a sustainable formula for bringing prosperity..........read about what happened to soviet union and you will realize that only capitalism is the way forward.
i understand and agree with your argument........but with progressive mindset things can change and change for the better.......may be it is just my hope.
Never... Indian poverty is very deep, and far beyond anything that 1st world countries consider "poor"... Because India's population is increasing even more and is expected to surpass China in a decade or two, it's safe to expect that India's poverty will increase... not decrease...
@kompshi There will be poverty as long as workers are not given the control over, and full worth of, their production. As long as some Corporate owners, Board Members, CEOs and capitalist bosses autocratically manage the distribution of production and profits, workers in all countries will be extorted of what their labor actually produces once sold for capital. Long live the Socialist Revolution!
The only way i see poverty elimination is thru women empowerment................ when women get jobs....... 50% jobs then they have a choice to have lesser children and then the system changes into a more efficient progressive economy.
