  • @simpleton7 LOL you mean like how the US has lost how many jobs to India and Mexico? Honestly, Amazon could be run out of China, so be careful what you ask for. If any company owner is pissed off about regulations and people skimming off their business, they can instantly pick up and do whatever they want, including moving to a new country altogether. Then it's up to government to find out how much they made. It does happen.

  • @BeeRich33 Lets see if closing the tax loophole in Jersey will cause Amazon to start up a depo in Andorra, or if they'll just absorb it. I don't think companies will move, I want to live and work in the uk for many reasons beyond earnings.

Fraud is too strong a word, seeing as it is legal, but I do think uk uncut is being discriminate, i.e. not everybody does it, or it is utilised to different extents. I can understand wanting to pay as little as is necessary, so tax needs to be clarified.

  • Also, be careful who you want to tax to a 35% demand. You take a third from some companies, then those companies will simply vanish. That means less tax received, and even more unemployed. Plus less business for the UK, and a resulting higher tax rate for other continuing companies, putting pressure on them to close as well.

So many people think business is nothing but greed. Capitalism is what pays for all of this.

  • @simpleton7 LOL if they legally can avoid taxes, it's better for their company. The law is the law. They aren't "dues" if there is a legal way to avoid paying as much tax as possible. Second, taxes earned through the transactions of a private company can easily evaporate. This company can easily shut down or move to another country. Not a single part of this company belongs to you, or the people of the UK.

  • @BeeRich33 These protesters want F&M's owners to pay it's dues for the sake of balancing the budget, not bleed it dry for the sake of 'paying for stupidity.'

But jcx doesn't have it right either, just because some people rich enough to set up schemes to avoid tax and the government allows them to do so, doesn't mean they're all doing it. This is not 'standing up to the rich,' it's standing up to fraud.

  • @jcx420 LOL standing up to the rich? Like being rich is wrong? Like they owe you something? This company owes nothing to anybody. You're just jealous because you're stupid and poor. Something tells me that won't change either. And you will continue to demand money from others that actually make money, in order to pay for your stupidity. Truly sad. Now go away.

  • Nice to see people standing up to the rich.

  • Sounds like 'pay your taxis' :D
