  • George has a much lighter tone, and it was hard for him to reach the power of the Maestro, but George has a much more flawless mezzo quality to his voice. Each are masters of the forms they sing in.

Perhaps there was some problems with rehearsals.

I love them both and wish they had done more together..

  • Elton John is happy!

  • I have watched a million of these Pavs with the pop collaborations, and GM is the only one i have ever seen hold his own.

  • @SuperFluxxx pav totally drowned george

  • I am honest in saying I did not notice the mix, as I was engrossed in both GM and Pav. Let it go, mistakes do occur and they both got it right!!!!!!!!! God Bless them both.

  • @Yorgos72 To be honest I dont really think George cared too much if Pavarotii sung his parts because George is a genuinly nice person for 1 and 2 to even stand side by side with a true legend like Pavarotii is an honour in itself there must be so much respect that any decent human being has for Pavarotii. Plus Pavarotii can sing what he wants when he wants its not like anyone has a voice strong enough to drown him out, I even doubt Pavarotii needs a microphone.

  • something went wrong here thts for sure...

  • Shame Pavarotti sang GM's part. I don't know was it an accident or he just wanted to be the star of the song.

    George, you are the best!

  • @Chivalryaintdead You are absolutely wrong! I was there, and though all my respesct goes to Pavarotti, he messed up the entire song ruining it, singing where it was not supoosed to be sang by him. I attended rehearsals too so i can tell you for sure. 4.45 he was not supposed to sing, George was to finish second chorus (like the first) and then share the third chorus. Pavarotti thought it was the third ans sung it. That's why you see GM looking at him at 5.03like saying..what the hell?
