I just feel so bad for Jody because she only got in by her looks not her skill and now getting flack from instructors and classmates/competition and somehow I favor her more than the rest of the characters... =/

Juliet reminds me of what I imagine my ballet teacher's ballet teacher was like. According to my teacher, HER teacher would call you "dear" if you were doing something wrong. She had the same teacher as Alan Foley (the Artistic Director of the Cork City Ballet), and he says it was a wonder that no one had the piano thrown at them! Thank God my teacher isn't as bad as hers- note that I said AS bad! Still, she's a good teacher, just as I'd imagine Juliet and my teacher's teacher were!

@MsSencer my thoughts exactly:)

@mliaab It was probably a gala performance, like extracts from different ballets

In the cygnets dance in Swan Lake at around 5:50, the second swan from the right was Sugar Plum Fairy (as a guest artist) in Ballet Minnesota's (which I used to be a part of) Nutcracker for like 10+ years; I was in it with her. She played Odette 2 years in a row with the same company too. She also taught a summer intensive class I took one summer.
I was absolutely horrible at ballet though! :D

its a bit much to do romeo and juliet and swan lake on the same night, don't you think??

When she said Stephen I immediately thought of Toby Turner XD but she said it non-hysterically
@melissalovesjls Yes I agree. It is very physically demanding to be a ballerina. No Question!!! You have to be athletic and in top shape. Kudos to those who chose this as a profession!!! :)

If this was a real Ballet school they'd kick Eva out for her awful attitude, hell, they'd kick her out of class for not being in uniform.
