WMUR has no reason to change anything anyways; they now very well they can just rest on their laurels because no other area station, no matter how modern the presentation is, don't and couldn't give two shits about New Hampshire. NH is Ed Harding's and Jack William's vacation retreat; other than that, it is meaningless to stations in Maine and Massachusetts. WMUR at least acts like they care; they at least know this damm state exists and respect those viewers. The others couldn't care less.
Actually, they have new graphics for weather forecasts and Close Up, hosted by Josh McElveen, WMUR's local equivalent to ABC's This Week with Christiane Amanpour. Personally, I like it opposed to the redundancy of the rest of the Hearst stations, which are red, white, black, and blue. The graphics or theme may not be very modern by comparison but it's at least unique.
Oh and for the record, I started high school in 2002 when WMUR acquired the handmedown B Package - SAME EFFING CUTS since September 2002. 5 Years to that day they commissioned the Michael Karp theme, that now isn't so bad. (There's 2 other themes they never used - or doesn't have the CDs.) It's so bad, I want to walk into oncoming traffic when the open comes on. I am hoping they could get Series 3 of Image News for a discount because of the shitass redundancy of the Hearst cluster up here!
yes, because H-A owns two other stations in the NH area, so it wouldn't be so damn redundant. Anywhere in NH you get screwed over with another H-A station. Southern NH, WCVB. West of I93, you get WPTZ/NNE, and east of 93 in northern NH you get WMTW.
So WMUR is the ugly middle child between the other stations. (Never mind being the middle acquired station of the Hearst cluster around here.) Way back it was CVB, then WNNE/PTZ/whatever was second then WMUR and then WMTW.
