I love Steve Martin, but there's a reason he chose this band: cause he's not an idiot, and it's the best bluegrass band playing today. If you like the songs with Steve, definitely check out their videos, and hopefully, their albums before Steve Martin. Contemporary Bluegrass doesn't get any better.

He picked up the banjo as a way to add to his stand-up act. He wanted to have more of a "show" than simply be a stand-up comedian. He has an album out called The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo.
