Staying true to his brand of extreme libertarianism, Paul said he objected to the Civil Rights Act because of its infringement on private property rights. He said that while he would favor repealing Jim Crow laws, the United States "would be better off" without government intruding on and policing personal lives. When Chris Matthews pressed the issue, asking if it should be legal for shop owners to not allow blacks, Paul responded, "That's ancient history. That's over and done with."

He was the only congressman to vote against a bill hailing the 40th anniversary of the law's passage in 2004, Think Progress reports. In his speech to Congress explaining his opposition, he said, "The forced integration dictated by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 increased racial tensions while diminishing individual liberty... The Civil Rights Act of 1964 gave the federal government unprecedented power over hiring, employee relations, and customer service practices of every business in the country. The result was a massive violation of the rights of private property and contract, which are the bedrocks of free society."

Your example at 3:02 refers to a private club that does not appear to provide public accommodations. There is no law against having get-togethers with whatever type of people you choose. However, if you were to begin serving food, that you profit of off, that is open to the public, you would be obligated to allow each member of the public in. Do you see the distinction?

As media said on many occassions....hes uncorruptable. I wonder if some1 offered u (tmotofga) 10m dollars wud you take it. 99% of us wud take it, especially black and white preachers whove taken over our land. They preach peace,prosperity but behind the slogan are millions of dollars and bribes of which make em say whatever sponsor wants them to say. Entire Congress works this way. With regard MLK holiday. IS dat rlly wot government was signed up to do. U put them into power to protect u an abide by laws under constitution that give you Freedom and Liberty the likes of which the American pple have never seen in their history.
