@Namari12 Anyone who takes seriously a newspaper horoscope is a fool yet this does not write off the possibility that people may be influenced subtly by a planetary motion. Consider the influence the Moon has upon not only our oceans, ecology but even reproduction cycles. I tend to consider these horoscope personalities in a psycho-analytical sense, they make up about 10% of a person, the rest being social, natal and natural influences, consider that we are merely a collection of animalinstincts

People will someday realize our absolute faith in science and Rationalism is just as dogmatic, blind and unwise as the unquestioned faith in the Medieval Church. The universe and human mind are far more vast and undefinable than we even fathom. Our scientific tools and methods have done wonders to advance the human race as well as destroy the Earth. I only say that we have measured our human experience with man-made rulers, artificial analysis.

To the people who are debunking astrology, let me ask you this question. Has science discovered everything that is to be discovered? Why is research still going on in quantum mechanics. Does everyone who is debunking Astrology understand quantum physics especially 'quantum entanglement' or are they ready to debunk quantum physics as well because they don't understand it. Does the female speaker also know that like the tide her period is also under the influence of the moon? 28 day cycle.

Haahahah, this is silly xD
Silly people believing that they know anything about astrology at all... That's a shame for intellectual development as well as informative capabilities for one individual ^_^

great work but when i checked with all my friend it wors for all. i am not talking about the weekly forcast but the basic traits work for all of us can u explain this

lastly, you overestimate your intelligence and shouldn't rely on cheap rhetorical devices to make the point for you in lieu of solid grounding for your arguments.

here's the final nail in your video; constellations don't play into it and they haven't been needed as reference points since Kepler. Clearly you are susceptible to labels. as part of our subjective state we experience phenomena like night and day because of the Sun's apparent motions, the fact that the earth technically revolves around the sun isn't of practical consideration.

omg that's it. darn it, I wish I had been made aware sooner that the final nail had been put in astrology's coffin. Nobody told me. Hey wait a minute...your points are very old ones and rebuttals have been made for them. Surely you have the ability to research the points that you want to make so that you don't seem out of touch with how advanced the arguement really is, right?

Actually, the stars can't be millions of light years apart, because the galaxy is only 100,000 light years across. Good video. :)
True, true, all true. Yet, astrology is not concerned about details and facts. Any
astrologer claiming his/her interprentation as fact, is overzealous. It's spiritual in nature, not scientific.
What astrology offers, is a symbolic framework within which you study your psychology. It can teach you, or misguide you.
As science labours on to find the truth, every generation can find new wisdoms in astrology. And if it helps them understand, who are you to critise them?

There is nothing spiritual in nature about the zodiac predictions I find printed in my newspaper. In fact, there is nothing spiritual in nature about any book on astrology I've ever read.. everything is stated in a very matter-of-fact sort of way. The average person who gets into astrology seems to know very little about the scientific irrationalities involved.
Maybe if the whole thing were stated in a less pseudo-scientific way it would bother me less *shrug*

I agree, newpaper astrology is bollocks. It deals only with solar astrology, which symbolises your goals. A more accurate picture comes when the moon and planets are concidered. Then there's house placement, and relations between planets. Your Sun sign can easily be overshadowed.
There has been a tendency lately to justfy spirituality by scientific means, which harms it in two ways. 'Average people' jump to hasty concusions, and serious people look down upon the whole thing.

But see.. when you say that stuff, do you mean that in a symbolic way, or a concrete way? If it's symbolic, fine. Silly, in my opinion, but fine.
But if you (not you personally you, but people who believe in astrology "you") really believe that there is some energy force working between the moon, planets, stars, etc to have an impact on the lives of individuals, and you base it on tropical astrology which isn't even astronomically *accurate*, and you *tell* people this, that is not okay.

And in any case, if you need some sort of way to visualize your personality, your traits, and your goals, why not look at something a little more reliable? Say, Meyers-Briggs tests? I feel like those personality tests that deal much more concretely with the lives of particular individuals are of *far* more use, and even of far more interest, than basing all of your predictions on the date that someone was born.

So it appears that I'm not actually a Capricorn as the tropical zodiac tells me. Im actually a Saggitarius. I read the description of a Saggitarius and it fits me MUCH better than a Capricorn. YYEAH I knew it!!
One question I gotta ask you Namari12. If the tropical zodiacs are inaccurate, and there is an 86% chance people are the sign they believe to be, then why is it that many people believe they fit their sign to a T?

Very simply, because the descriptions they give you could apply to just about anyone. For example, look at newspaper horoscopes-- those things could be interpreted to apply to anyone. Get 10 people of the same 'sign' who follow astrology together in the same room and compare their personalities; I'll wager they'll all be radically different in personality type, and every one will claim that sign fits them "perfectly"
