that happened to me the first time i boiled a lobster... but mine was 6 pounds, literally didnt fit in the pot
solution?
as soon as it stopped moving because it died from the boiling water i took it out quickly, cleanly cut it in half with a cleaver and cooked the tail and body separately, safe to say after that i stuck to 2 pound lobsters
