York offers a fascinating collection of great sites mixed with an easy-going pedestrian ambience all lassoed within its formidable wall. Its rich history goes back to ancient times when York was a Roman provincial capital. My school in Norway offered a year abroad in York next year, and I would really like to go! Sadly I got to know about it too late, and never got the chance. I guess I´ll be sort of grumpy about it the next year :(
