First of all, a great thank you to my friend and bandmate, Steve, who has given me his Taylor guitar while he is studying abroad in Austria.

Fountain Square is an original piece. I started writing this March 15 2008, and it took me about 3 months to finish writing the piece. It took me another couple of months to finally play it cleanly. This piece is my favorite composition so far, I hope you like it too!

Tuning: CAEGBe, capo 5th fret

At the end is a little "bonus" footage of me fooling around in this altered tuning. Includes:
Stairway to Heaven/While my Guitar Gently Weeps mixed together
Classical Gas
me doodling some more

Please subscribe if you like my music!
Guitar: Taylor 414-CE
Pedal (delay effect): Line 6 Pod X3 Live
Amp: Ultrasound DS 4
Video: Logitech Webcam
Audio: Samson Zoom H4 Field Recorder
Editing: Windows Movie Maker

Also, I have a band called Sure Thing, and we just launched a new youtube channel. Check it out at http://ca.youtube.com/user/surethingband

  • I like the melody of falling water drops! :) What's harder for you - remember or play this composition?

  • @QueenOfTheBlueSky thank you! playing is definitely harder. I spend a lot of time writing my songs, so by the time they are finished, remembering the notes is very intuitive for me.

  • Man, you're so good with that guitar... I've been going through some of your videos (it all started with watching a cat on your shoulder...). You're fantastic, amazing and brilliant. Your music is like a home for wandering souls. It was a privilege to listen to that. Keep it up :)

  • @KatZahra thank you so much. comments like these are the ones that really lift me up and inspire me to keep doing what I do :)

  • i love 5:30-6:20 its so idk what to say i love the whole piece but that is just stands out well great job

    keep on struming

  • Now I couldn't stop listening to this! XD

  • when I saw that this was 10 minutes long I wasn't sure, but once i sat and watched I was not disappointed. You have skill friend. The bonus material is pretty good too.

  • those harmonics are beautiful

  • came here from IcAnhazchezburger app

you'd have to be autistic to play that well, and that's a compliment.

I can't believe more people haven't see this, your right up there with Andy mckee

  • I agree!

  • As a musician myself, I have been playing the violin for 14 years now. This is truly inspirational and the emotions stirred is something you would see at disneyland. Amazing.
