Ok, its not exactly supercharged... I replaced the standard 600mAH NiCD size AA batteries in my Norelco 6826XL with 1400mAH NiCD size A. These are available from several sources including ebay and Amazon. Cost for this mod: about $9. Battery life: aprox. 2 weeks.

  • @JAMESMAC442 It also may be useful if your battery in the shaver has worn out and you have choise: discard the shaver and buy a new one or replace the internal battery.

  • What about using some 2500 AA NiMh instead of NiCD? In theory, it should work

  • Kind of a strange hack, why do you say they must be ni-cd? When the OEM batteries in my similar norelco died about 5 years ago I desoldered them and replaced them with ni-mh of about 2000mah capacity, and there's been no negative issues at all.

  • what is the point...rebuild the shaver to get a little more battery time???...lots of work for not much value..

  • What did you use to connect the positive and negative terminals of the batteries to each other? A bridge of solder?
