My New 1800 Gallon Koi/Turtle Pond

I found someone with a 25 x 25 pond liner for $100 and couldnt pass up the opportunity. I grabed a shovel and went to work, this is the end result. The turtles will be added later.

My dad and I are going to build a fence and cover for it, once thats done I'll put my 3 turtles out there. They're so spoiled, lol.

It's 16' long x 6' wide x 3' deep.
Total volume of about 2000 gallons.

@MrFishermen98 no, its right about 1800 gallons, i calculated it with SEVERAL online pond volume calculators and all of them say its about 1800 gallons

Doolittle dood,

for ur fence use 18 inch wide chicken wire with 6 inch going undergound( for burrowing purposes) 6 inch perpendicular to ground( wall) and 6 inch paralell to the ground on top( to keep turts from climbing)

Trust me on this bro.

that was our original idea for the fence but we pretty nuch built a screen house over it after this video and then we are going to build the fence with about 10in underground because our soil is kinda sandy and 1ft above ground

it took two days to dig the hole

1 day to build the waterfall and filters

and the decorations/plants took an hour or so here and there
