Aaron, I'm a parent and a child-liberationist; I have thought that kids should have liberty rights, as well as welfare rights, since I was a small child, and I saw no reason to change my beliefs just because I became responsible for helping a child grow to full responsibility for himself. As a parent, I am my child's partner in helping him to make good decisions. He is not property; he is a living thinking being, as deserving of dignity and respect as anyone else. Thanks for the video. Msg me?

I believe in childguidence. I don't believe in lack of discipline, but I do believe in open, honest, free education that is not controlled whether in homeschool, or in government schools. Children shouldn't be forced to attend classes or required meetings. It is a good thing to have them do things that they don't want to do soley as an encouragement, but if you are freely opening them to education and self-discipline by all means jump in head first.
I'm an adult Free Learner! It works great..!

Dude--if you haven't yet, check "Summerhill School--A New View of Childhood". A.S. Neill.

Actually, if my girlfriend was doing something that would get her locked up or something like that (like beating someone up or drinking anti-freeze), I would resort to "punishment". That's just me though. =9

I second that. =P Seriously though, with the easy access to any type of file or information (good, bad, copyrighted or not) provided by the internet, I am starting to find the use of school altogether questionable. But that's another vid.

I agree with you 100% So I liberated my 2 month old child yesterday, today I went back to the woods where I left him, and he was gone. So i'm sure he's doing well.

To "public" (government) school anyway.

i think punishment is a horrible thing. Do you punish your girlfriend if she does something you don't like? You work things out with her and try to come to a mutual understanding. I find time-outs to just be enslavement. I encourage you to watch the rest of my series, maybe I can change your mind on your perception of children.
I think your taking this a little too far. Although children are not property they can't have the same rights as adults because they don't have the brain capacity (yet) to make adult decisions. Parents (or guardians) act as caretakers to the children to nurture them until their brains are developed enough to make their own decisions. If parents weren't allowed to make their kids eat yucky vegetables or go to school (most kids hate school) there would be some very negative effects of society.

if the limitation is brain capacity ... Who decides the line for this? How much is it? are 50 year olds with similar brain capacities as children also the property of someone else? I believe that parents are hypocrites for forcing their children to eat vegetables, and I encourage you to watch my video series on education. There would be nothing greater for our society than for children to stop going to school.

When you say "children" does this include adults who like ballgames, cartoons and cops and robbers shows?

I like ball games and cartoons. Not so much with the cops and robbers shows ... unless you count Law and Order. Maybe I am a kid. Spongebob Rocks! Wooooooo
