Aston Hall is one of Birmingham's most treasured buildings. One of England's finest Jacobean mansions, built by Sir Thomas Holte, a Warwickshire landowner, between 1618-1635,the man after whom the Holte End stand of Villa Park is named. Grade I listed. The house boasts some fine interiors including early 17th century plasterwork, wood carving and chimney pieces. Aston Hall boasts sumptious interiors from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, including the magnificent Long Gallery.
Display rooms illustrate the part Aston Hall and it's residents played in key moments in history, including the English Civil War, and how it prepared to recieve royalty on more than one occasion.

Beautifully Done........
I think the Hall still beckons me like it did in my childhood.
A treasure which must be preserved.
Nice touch to finish with the "Holte" and portrait of Sir Thomas.
